I can't find my Gt GT Grandfather Aaron Solly born c1827.
The family folklore says his brother is Rueben but there is also a Robert
on the scene.
They all emigrated to South Australia from c1850.
SA marriage details for the 1850's don't record parents names and only if the parent reports a death for any period.
The character below sort of fits - the dates are right and Robert's father was Aaron according to his marriage cert.

Is anyone related to this mob?

Hi Neville

I believe Aaron Solley was the son of Robert and Ann Clewey. On the 1861 census there is an Aaron who was a policeman and his wife Eliza. If this is the same Aaron that you have info then his Grandparents were John Solly and Jane Russell. Robert was the brother of Sarah Solly who married John Bissenden. Sarah is my 5x grandmother.
