:) Unable to find any records of my Paternal Great Grandfather. Marriage certificate records him having been born in London 1845. ( Father Thomas.)
and usual place of residence Wellington/New Zealand. He married Ann Jane Holmes in (Paddington) Sydney/Australia, Feb 1883. My Paternal grandmother was born in Wellington/New Zealand and Thomas Henry died there in 1900. I have been unable to find any leads on the family in England. Has anyone "lost" him? Please make me smile.

I have still not traced the family of my paternal ancestor Thomas Henry Sewell b 1845 in London, married Ann Jane Holmes in Sydney - Australia in 1883 and settled in Wellington New Zealand. I have now found out that he was a clarionetist with the Wellington Orchestral Society, a talent he must have had while growing up in England. Can any family obviously with a musical background claim him as part of their family? The marriage certificate has his father as being Thomas too.
