    Question William Sewell, mariner

I'm wondering if anyone can identify the parentage of William Sewell, mariner, who died at sea in 1835. The records show that he was born in "N. Yarmouth" in about 1787 and was a "merchant navy seaman"..

    Colin,

I think I have him in our records (1756-1835) married to Hannah Maria Fuller with 12 children but I do not have any occupation information.

Let me know what more information you want.

Ian: I wonder if this William Sewell and Hannah were my William Sewell the mariner's parents. My William maried Elizabeth Barker from Harwich in 1818.

    Dear Ian:
I followed up on the William born to William and Hannah Maria and he married someone else and was still alive in the 1851 census. So I'm still looking for William the mariner born about 1787 in North Yarmouth who died at sea in 1835.
    Colin.
